Almost nothing (except traveling) makes me more happy than finding a beautiful restaurant that offers delicious food. Nitty Gritty has opened a one month ago, so it is not very popular yet but I believe it will be soon.  I found them reading a couple of blogs talking about them so I decided to make a reservation without having very clear what were they offering – I love living on the edge.

But it turned out fantastic, every dish was incredible (from the saag aloo – apparently an indian dish – to the eggplants, the rice and the duck). Plus a fantastic service. It really makes me nervous when all the dishes are served at the same time and you feel so anxious because there’s nothing worse than eating fast so it doesn’t get cold. Everything came just in time and we had a lovely dinner.

So yes, I can’t recommend them more, plus their terrace is just a dream with all those little bulbs. Because, what’s summer in Madrid without a terrace?

  1. Ah, these are just as gorgeous as I the dishes are tasy, I can imagine! You are really tempting me to get a little canon eos m. Must be so nice to have a little camera like that and the quality is impeccable. Can I ask which lens you are using with it? Cheers :)

    1. Hi Anna! the canon eos m has been my best purchase this year! it is so light I carry it everywhere, and the results are great :) the lens I used for these pictures were the 22mm f/2.0 which work great in low light conditions.

  2. It looks like such a nice restaurant! I am hopefully going to be in Madrid more often and I am looking forward to discovering new places like this.
